ABOUT ME
Moments accumulated through interacting with the world inform me of what designs spark joy and inspiration, as well as what yields frustration and confusion. This disdain and delight alike have announced within me the transformative power of design, a force to be reckoned with—and one that I care deeply about, strive to improve at, and feel helplessly drawn towards.
DRAWING, COOKING, DESIGNING...
The toddler smothering crayon on walls is still alive.
I think the best products are made when they speak to both the creators and the audience. As a designer, I deliberately balance when it’s best to leverage my technical, user-oriented side, and when it’s beneficial to wield my personal artistry.
I'M ALWAYS QUESTIONING.
It seems that with every thought I encounter, a barrage of questions inevitably follow. Why are things the way they are? Can they be better? Are birds real?
I’m always scouring for answers; if they don’t suffice, then I ponder change. This analytical approach makes me a perpetual learner, a deep thinker, and a proponent for change.
ALWAYS EXPRESSIVE, EXUBERANT, ENTHUSIASTIC.
In my quest to design for emotion, enthusiasm and joy are essential ingredients. I always take care to bring lightness and laughter to others around me, to stay passionate in my approach towards work.
Avoiding being overly cerebral allows me to engage with heart.
FURTHER HUMANIZATION...
In the precious interludes between work, I slowly burn through rolls of film, watch movies, make and eat copious amounts of soup, browse Pinterest, meditate outdoors, collect monthly anthologies from POETRY Magazine, illustrate my dreams, admire light, admire shadows, journal daily, write my to-do’s on sticky notes, draw on sticky notes, make campy jewelry, poster my walls, dance around, BASK IN THE GLORY OF music, reach out to friends first, and APPRECIATE the little moments.
